Nothing Special Anymore

That place doesn't feel the same without you,
Nothing special anymore, No remembrance of the ocean.

The walk down there wasn't any fun,
Nothing special anymore, Without catching baby frogs.

The dock seems old and rickety,
Nothing special anymore, Just aged wood I'd probably fall through if I stepped to hard.

The wind no longer comforting,
Nothing special anymore, Just dry and sticky with no taste of the oceans breeze.

The lake no longer beautiful,
Nothing special anymore, Just dark and murky,
Was it always like that before?

The sun no longer shining bright,
Nothing special anymore, Just black and grey skies,
Is it the weather or maybe more?

I'm just trying to decipher,
If it was you or just the day,
But I went down there myself,
And everything was grey.
